Lee Enfield and AR15 had a kid.........

I am torn … it is kinda ugly but with an unexplainable appeal … the old school 20 round mag is a great choice.

My only real question is what about iron sights? It has no rear one and the front is awfully low. Adding a scope would mess with its look in my thoughts also.

ETA: I would have thought he’d have something better for the pistol grip than black polymer …Bakelite???

Ah, the classic, luxurious feel of finely crafted wood and leather, combined with the advantages of modern technical innovation...

Needs a red dot.

So what are they going to do for a rear iron sight? Even the lowest of low pic rail mounted sights is going to be higher than that front post.

Historical correct, make and add a rear sight on the front of the upper receiver or attach to barrel

Normally I don't like the idea of mounting a rear sight to the handguard or barrel, but I guess in this situation it's an exception to the rule. I could see in this instance, those "hunter" see-through scope rings that mount to the AR pic rail that would let you see a rear leaf sight (mounted to the back of the wooden handguard through some sort of custom fabricated barrel attachment) through them under the scope.

Thanks I hate it.

I'm a major league Lee-Enfield fan (owned at least a hundred over the years) and that is just too strange for me.

Is the line on the stock an adjustable riser?

I think so. I did not catch that before. That would bring the user's cheekweld inline the way it would be on an AR stock. That would allow them to use a typical cantilever mount for a scope or a red dot. It'd still be optics-only, but that would be functional, at least.
