I guess you'd have to. I'm just a stickler for always having BUIS available on a centerfire firearm, so it's annoying to put all that work into the design for it to be an optics-only gun.
Normally I don't like the idea of mounting a rear sight to the handguard or barrel, but I guess in this situation it's an exception to the rule. I could see in this instance, those "hunter" see-through scope rings that mount to the AR pic rail that would let you see a rear leaf sight (mounted to the back of the wooden handguard through some sort of custom fabricated barrel attachment) through them under the scope.

So what are they going to do for a rear iron sight? Even the lowest of low pic rail mounted sights is going to be higher than that front post.
I think so. I did not catch that before. That would bring the user's cheekweld inline the way it would be on an AR stock. That would allow them to use a typical cantilever mount for a scope or a red dot. It'd still be optics-only, but that would be functional, at least.
