post them up. Doesn’t matter if they’re in the box to be built, work in progress, completed, collection, doesn’t matter.

here’s the one the kiddo and i just finished. Not sure who enjoys it more, the kiddo or myself.

this isn’t the first one, unfortunately the first one met a bad ending.

but. let’s see them.

Found out about a year ago that my girlfriend had never done a Lego set before. She had played with them as a kid but never actually built a set.

I started buying her the floral sets. They are really cool. She is now terribly addicted. I'll try to get a few pics later.

The girls took me to the Lego museum in Raleigh today. They probably won't take me back.

There’s a theme.

I will have the opportunity to meet Curt Brown in November. Flew in six shuttle missions, commanding Discovery on three of them. Might get him to autograph my Discovery.

This does not represent the 10,000+ (estimated) loose bricks at home.

Sadly, I failed to teach my boys the finer art of free constructing. They thing building with Legos is horsing all the “good” characters and pieces, then bickering about who has what, never actually building anything.

My favorite set as a kid was the moon monorail. Still have the pieces. It’s been repurposed dozens of times.

Post yours/ your kids / Grands/ everybody’s Lego collection and builds.

I started first collecting about 1977. Was 11 years old. And in a couple years had a pretty good stash of parts. Which I’ve managed to keep all this time.
My son got into them about 6 or 7 and his collection started to grow. This was mid 2000’s. He’s 22 now.
And we’ve managed to keep his mostly in sets.
When we moved 7 years ago they got put up in the attic and just about left for dead ..

Just recently the granddaughters seem interested in them, so since they are here this weekend I figured I would pull them down.

Back about 1978 my stepdad was in the State prison camp in Humboldt on the cA Coast. Mostly running fire line on the chain gang.
For good behavior he got a chance to build stuff in the Prison wood shop.
He built a foot locker in there and I ended up with it for my legos when he got out.

Way back in the hallows of the attic… that trunk sits.

We had a few growing up. Lincoln Logs first though.

Kids had a few. No idea where any of that stuff is now.

@Mirac looks like it's way past time to build a trunk for your son and granddaughters

Yeah, waiting for the Son to land somewhere, first. And the granddaughters each have a turned jewelry bowl with lid now.

Let’s see how far they go with these Lego’s now. There are plans for some Hopechests later.
