It definitely makes a difference!
Took my Open X-Ring to Pendergraft Gun Works to have him mill the rail off, drill and tap for razor red dot, mill hole on left side to move charging handle, and drilled and tapped the bolt of the left for the handle.
Joel did and outstanding job!!
Team TacSol "FTLSCH" in Matte Gold
That. Is. Awesome.
I used to have a Federal Ordnance folding stock (German MP40 style) back in the 80s on my 10/22 as seen here (one off the net)
Just saw today that MBW, a Polish company is making another version but using the folding stock and pistol grip from a AKMS. It will allow folding with the Ruger BX-25 mag inserted unlike my Fed Ord which wouldn't. Top end is a open U.
Still have my old 81' 10/22 unmodified except wearing a Simmons 4x scope on the Ruger mount.
Don't let @Cmercaldo see that comp on that limited rifle!!!!
NSSF legal. Just can't shoot steel challenge.

Here is one that I've been piecing together lately. It's not as fancy as the very nice ones that are already in this thread. It's been raining cats and dogs here today and when it stopped for a few minutes I took it out for a photo. Right before the sky opened up again, a big ol' raindrop fell on it right below the bolt.
Here is the finished product.
I did a new age camo on the Magpul stock and I painted the receiver and the barrel of my tactical Solutions X-Ring in a high temp wrinkle paint, we will see how it holds up.
Kidd 16.5" fluted stainless bead blasted barrel
Kidd scalloped bolt and charging handle
Kidd single stage trigger
Leupold VX2 3-9x33 EFR
DNZ low mounts
Hogue overmolded stock
She shoots under .5" all day with CCI SV, below is the best group so far but I still only have around 150 rounds through it.
Here's my budget build for rimfire 2 Gun.
Ruger youth model, Axiom stock (so light!), Ruger BX trigger, JWH extended harging handle, Williams Firesights and a home polished bolt with a Kidd Buffer.
It runs pretty nicely and I spent less than $170 after the initial rifle purchase.
Looking good! I hate you didn't get to come shoot with us at DPRC. I was looking forward to meeting you.
Yeah I was mad I was really looking forward to it. Worse yet the truck never did arrive so I didn't go for nothing.
Of course if I had shown up I'd have gotten a call soon as I started shooting.
Very nice! I bet the squirrels are shaking in fear when that thing comes out!
My chicken eating critter getter. I sold off my PVS14 so I'm going to transition to my FLIR PS32 handheld for scanning and then popping on the 600lm Surefire Scout for taking the shot(s).
That factory threaded barrel/Gemtech Outback II combo will be replaced with a MIST very shortly. I'm in the final legs of approval through JK.
Integral gettin it's 500 round clean and lube....
I need a precision 10/22 build in my life but things keep coming up and it gets put on the back burner. Don’t get me wrong, I love my bolt guns. It just feels like a void in my Rimfire repertoire.
This was a real budget mod... a used Butler Creek SS Folding Stock, cut in half and installed on a 10/22 Takedown with Tech Sights and a light mount. It fits in a 12" square bag with the barrel on the diagonal. My daughter took it from me!
Ruger Charger in a Nordic AR22 chassis. Shockwave tube and blade brace. Trijicon reflex 4.5MOA dual illuminated on an ARMS mount. Needs a better trigger as all of that is still stock. Just picked the Charger up yesterday. Will go Volquartsen there or just replace it with a BX which I like just fine. Have a KAK 5.56 flash can on the way to bring the muzzle device past the handguard.
Where you gettin' all this money?
Partly from you.....LOL
In all seriousness the only thing new in that photo is the Ruger Charger and the blade brace and tube. I've had that chassis and Trijicon for a few years.
Just a plain 10/22 threaded barrel in the Aklys Defense ZK-22 Bullpup and my Silencerco Sparrow.
Moved this rifle from the AR22 chassis to a plain wood stock. Added a Nikon 2-7x32. Also has a JWH Custom Bolt kit and a BX trigger.
My completed MIST rifle up top. I have a 6" Kidd barreled Charger on the way to me from a trade. I picked up another PMACA chassis and set it up as a pistol with a brace and folding adapter. I actually like the brace/folder setup more than the adjustable stock on the normal rifle.
I ended up finding a shorter pistol tube in my parts bin and put it on the chassis. It dropped LOP by a couple of inches over those top two pictures. This thing is going to be cool...when the Charger gets here.
Had a old Fed Ord folding stock for my 10/22 from early 80s to 2014. Stock won't fold open with a 25 rd mag loaded however. Loved the MP40/AKMS look
Nice looking setup.
My Copper Custom adapter for my take down Charger is ordered and I'm more than ready to get that project up and running.
Would it work with the BX15 do you think?
It should work with a 15 rounder. Stock would hit the last inch of the 25 round mags. No longer have the stock.
All done with this one.
10/22 International. Put a leather sling on it. Contemplating adding a set of tech sights I already have. Will also get trigger parts swaps at some point.
I said I was done. I lied a little. Sent my trigger off to Brimstone for their tier one jobby. Also had the chassis zapped at work.
I'd put a Williams Ace In The Hole peep on that jewel. Man what a sight radius it would have!
All you need now to finish giving the libs a heart attack is a GSG 110 round drum!
I like the Ace in the Hole for speed shooting. Nice big fiber optic post. I have two 10/22s with those on them. I like the techs for small groups. Small precise front post.
Got the flash can in and installed. Also installed a JWH Custom bolt I had on hand. Volquartsen trigger and hammer en route.
Separate names with a comma.
