Discussion on LSV vehicles.
What do you have, good, bad, ugly...
I'm talking road legal use of LSVs , not electric cars like Tesla, etc.

Some background...
I will be lobbying the local Town Council to have designated LSV corridors in my area. There are multiple ways to travel 3-5 miles to shopping/grocery stores from my development. Unfortunately the majority have a ~1/2 mile of over 35mph stretch (a LSV show stopper). If this happens it will open up viable LSV use for quite a few large developments in my area.

This is the only item that stops us from getting a "golf cart on steroids".

Edited for the Google challenged...
LSV = Low Speed Vehicles
(Under 35mph roads)

Low speed vehicles?

2 companies come to mind ...

In Tampa Florida, Moke (a pretty real manufacturer now) has made a pretty good bite into the mini-electric car market with a classic take on an old British beach cruiser. There is another new company in pre/protoype production in Austin TX, Ayro EV, which is trying to produce an electric twist on the Asian mini-truck. Both are starting around $30k. The Ayro will jump quickly when adding bed features and such as enclosed cabin, pickup bed, etc but it does sound useful … for short local commutes (a 50 mile or so range) under 30mph. The Moke is a “cute” mini-Jeep cart for having funny going to the beach or brunch ... again 30mphish and 40 mile range or so. Places like Bald Head Island and such where everything is in reach and gas engines are no-go … I can see but outside of the gated golf community type thing or senior retirement resort I’m not sure yet.

Why not just get a tagged side by side?

You're never gonna pump enough steroids into a golf cart to compete with one of those and they recently became road legal.

Keep them damn f-in golf carts off the road, keep them on the idiot stick course where they belong, don't lobby for stupid crap.
As a Paramedic, every single crash involving one of these damn golf carts, that I have been to, that don't belong on the roads, has had a fatality, including one with an 8yr old girl, one with an infant, one with 2 dead dogs. All, that I would about guarantee, would have been walked away from if in a proper, road worthy vehicle. If I recall correctly too, all but one was the fault of the Golf Cart drivers.
