Thanks. “They” say blues come from the wood, and straw or taupe from the none. I don’t know. My ratio is usually 3:1 wood to bone, sometimes with a little recycled mixture to top off the crucible after tamping down.

I just got the lever and block to CCH. I may end up bluing the rest if the customer sends it to me. The fellow is a member of ACCG.org as a stock maker. Most of those folks love building and rebuilding custom single shot rifles, American and English primarily.
