When I went through the HK subgun operator, then instructor school, we had do similar drills on full-auto. The trick was that we could only shoot three rounds at a time (no burst mode, had to be on F/A) and hit the boxes. This trigger control was very difficult for me as it became known as the "Dan Tap" which was a 2-shot burst, then a single shot - which is a fail. Had to be 3 together and in the box, while moving forward.
