Y'all guys look like pros

I don't have a video (if I did it would make others feel better) but one stage took me 34 seconds to shoot and I had 38 seconds of penalties....4 Mikes and a no shoot + other stuff

Always have one stage that SUCKS!!!!!!

Why did you reload on the classifier? Does a 40 cal 2011 only hold 10 rds now ? :p

Another one of my many brain farts

Still had fun. But, damn it, pushing and rushing the shot to hard. 8 freaking mikes. Dang near a zero for a stage. Reloads were alot better, target transitions were better. Still alot of work to be done

Did you have cold hands? I can tell the difference in the gun recoiling. It was coming up a lot higher then I normally see it.

SWGC Today:

Interesting tidbit: 2 weeks ago on the podcast I talked about shooting on the move, and how I found it's more beneficial than posting up and shooting. On the last stage in the video I did my best to keep moving, and I won the stage. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

Wasn't it custom fitted?
All 1911 barrel are. Dont know why, the frame and slide look absolutely fine. No beat up areas at all. Lugs are spotless

That sucks.

Match #2 with the Open gun is in the books. I continued to fight mag problems on 4 out of 7 stages. Malfunction junction....rush.....forget when to reload....hit no-shoots and all kinds of other stupidities. Weak hand...very weak! Dot hide and seek is still happening but getting better. Lots of work to be done!

Always let Triangle Tactical film your stage. Half the fun is watching the before shooting commentary.

CGGR USPSA match...awesome 9 stages.
I lost this match on 3 mental errors. Honestly though...not that good of a match for me. I shot steel well...only missed a few of them. I just started slow, and didn't get my wheels going till the 5th stage. I made up a lot of ground from then.

I need to stop shooting on the move, or just practice that only for about 5 gazillion rounds. Always throw mikes from "bouncing". Not getting my shoulders lower and using my knees as shock absorbers when walking. That will be my new dry fire practice for the next 2 weeks.

and Fatboyflash got lucky and squeeked in an 18 point lead on me today.

Yesterday at Sir Walter...

My shooting wasn't spectacular, but my friends at least made the video entertaining.

That was one of the best matches in a long time as far as direct squad competition. Tim and I both hit 2 no shoots on the classifier...get rid of that and you, Ed, Tim, and I were neck and neck all the way. Don't get much better that.

Came in 4th yesterday at Pappys in the open class in steel challenge. Not bad IMO for the first time I've shot the Glock in this class. Really need to work on my draw. It's my mine weak point ATM( I normally shoot in rimfire optics class, no drawing... Lol)

And the oldman ( my dad) shot his first match with me yesterday. He really enjoyed himself.

Fun match. Broke a trigger spring on the second stage of the day. The trigger pull went from 5lbs to 12 lbs in the middle of the stage. With incredible luck it held till the end, and snapped into on unload and show clear.
