What setup are you using to record? Would love to get something like this so I can analyze some of my time on the range.
Hat cam is a Gopro Hero 4 or 5 ( very similar) fastened to my hat. The 3rd person cam is a Contour Roam 2 or something similar.

The GoPro cams are $$$ but easy to.use.

Heck, I'd trip over all that stuff in the way. Stay back and wait till the targets come to me LOL 🤣

@dmarbell He’s shooting diagonally into the side berm. The RO is well behind the 180* line and is reasonably safe. With wide angle hat cameras you occasionally pick up the RO when shooting toward the side berms.

@dmarbell what he said. It looks worse than what it was

I'm not trying to start trouble, it just looked funny. From the camera angle he appears to be "downrange" of the shooter. Ricochets from that berm could be more of a problem for him than for the shooter?

I've been at IDPA events where there is a no-shoot target that first appears when pie-ing out from around cover, and shooters have put 2-3 rounds on it before they realize what it was. I guess it's good that there are no blue targets. LOL.

It sure does look sketchy at first glance. Just for perspective this is that same target array from a different camera angle.9874F001-BE58-4180-98C1-5BFE2B5C07E9.jpeg

I’m not familiar at all with IDPA matches, but within the USPSA game, you’re given plenty of time to walk through a stage to locate all the targets and to study how you want to shoot the course of fire. So most are aware of which targets to shoot and when they are going to engage them. Fortunately, all the the rules and protocols keep everyone as safe as you can be at an action shooting competition. The side berms are regularly cleaned and the Match Directors (and set up crew) do a good job of checking beyond the targets that the berms are free of objects they may cause ricochets. USPSA is a really fun shooting sport, I always encourage everyone to try it!
