MB Gun Show Feb 6-7

Hmmm....I'm thinking.

Any good places to eat around the place?

I’ll be there, at a table with my dad again
imo one of the better local (to me) shows usually worth going

Working Sat, may make it if I’m bored Sunday...haven’t been to a gun show in probably 5-6 years, just haven’t found much at one I’m interested in for anywhere near where I can order it for online. Imo vendors don’t have to beat online pricing, but at least be competitive ya know?

The MYB show has become one of my favorites. The last one was the largest ever as far as attendance but it was a fast moving crowd and never seemed real crowded. A few of the dealers I’ve talked to seem to have decent gun inventory but I expect the good stuff will sell quick. Last show the hot items were the defense handguns priced in the $300-500 range but a lot of high end stuff moved out as well. Not sure what to expect as far as ammo. At the Columbia show a few weeks ago the lower priced 9mm ($35-40/box) sold out pretty quick and was told a Sunday afternoon the leftover was still walking out the door at $60+/box. It’s always interesting and @BatteryOaksBilly is correct. Unless they made a change, the French Fries are as good as you will ever eat. I’ll be at the Palmetto Pawn & Gun Booth all weekend. I’ll be the good looking guy wearing a Battery Oaks Cap. Stop by and introduce yourself. Will have a few beautiful S&W’s that would look good in anybody’s collection

He is correct About the fries. Nothing unusual, just damn good. I’ll eat 2-3 orders a day. Maybe I’ll sell something early so I can afford to eat.
It was an ill-conceived attempt at humor.

I know @BatteryOaksBilly is as expert in French Fries as I am in Burnt Toast. ;)

@Etruett any report on the show??????????????????
Big crowd. Over 5k people today. Attendance in line with the last show. Had to open early again. Early. Birds were lining up at 730. Plenty of ammo although the guys that show up with pallets full were not there. Prices for popular calibers Averaged about $1 per round with a few fetching slightly more. Handgun selection was a little smaller than last show But not bad. Only gun that seemed to be missing was a Hellcat. Long gun selection looked pretty good. Plenty of AR’s and tactical shotguns. Lots of money changing hands. Not a lot came in for sale. French Fries were good. Looking forward to tomorrow. Hope to do some buying.

Went to the gun show, first one I have been to, and it was cool....saw lots of guns, ammo, etc....saw @Etruett but he was busy...lots of really nice people...got 2 American flags and a shoulder holster...but didn't find a bayonet for the 88 German Mauser that I was hauling around...☹️
But in all, very pleasant experience...boy my feet were killing me....lol....
