If you don't use the canbus adapters the car thinks you have a fog light out. The fog lights are polarity sensitive, I think black was ground but you'll want to double check. They're not easy to get at.

I was thinking of going with the lasfit kit. They have a deal right now, the low beam set for $80 and the fog lights for $68. They also have a fog light kit that can change from yellow to white for rain and darkness.

They also meet up on the first Friday of each month at a place down near Charlotte. The place is owned by a forum member and they normally get maybe 8, 10 or 12 people. If you watch this part of the forum, you‘ll see the meetups well in advance.

Ended up ordering a set for my dad to put in his Passat. Of course, he can't figure out how to do it and he is in Florida
