Anyone else notice the mega billet lowers are no longer available?
Those were super nice. Tolerances were amazing.

Sucks, I wanted to buy a couple for a rainy day.

I thought they did them in batches throughout the year.

I built a Mega billet rifle with matched receivers last year (May 2018). My buddy had waited like a year or so for them to release more receivers at the time when he got his

I called my friend who got his last year. He said he called mega and asked if they had a scheduled run of them planned or in the works. He then went to a couple online retailers, like rainier arms (which is where he ended up getting his set from). He selected the “notify me when back in stock“ option and bought it the minute he got the email.

I have a one hole 6.5G on a Mega ambi billet set I got from https://www.stonefirearms.com/ after Sandy Hook when AR's were made of unobtanium. Mega told me to call Stonefire, they may have one, other than that it'd be over a year's wait. Dwayne, the owner, is a great guy. He informed me he had a shipment on the way and there might be one extra, he'd check and call. I got a call a week later, he sold it to me at a better price than anyone else when the prices were low. I've build most of that rifle and got Seekins items from him as well.

Is there any further information on the "merger"? It would be great to know if they did just change the name and keep the everything else the same!

Yeah, saw that in the above link. Just wondering if there is anyone knew more about the merger and whether or not the uppers and lowers are still as good as they were.
Nothing else was showing up with my google-fu. :p
 
From reading on the 'Hide Zev is just as good if not better. I haven't had my hands on any so can't comment there.

All of my ARs are built on Mega's, was very sad to see them go.
 
Yeah this happened a while ago. It was originally announced as a partnership I believe and then Zev bought them I guess. Zev is pretty stupid because all they had to do was keep production of everything going as everyone loved it. Oh well, it happens.
 
I have a couple monolithic uppers from Mega and hunt for them regularly.....rare as hens teeth these days but they do pop up on forums and auction sites on occasion. Keep an eye out and you may stumble on a builders set too.

I’ve noticed some new runs of Mega stuff popping up lately maybe Zev got the memo that people loved Mega and simply manufacturing under that name, exactly as Mega did, would be an easy way to drive sales.
