So I was thinking about this and spoke to a higher up here and he said to drop it in this thread for feedback. What I am thinking about is that I have spoken to members at lunches and events and during trades and heard several mention they were “creators” or “influencers “ or made “content” on different platforms. Some did instagram, some YouTube, some TikTok, FB shorts, etc etc. My thought was what if we had a forum for these links and within that have 1 thread for each platform. One thread for TikTok, One thread for Facebook, etc. Each member could only post once within each platform thread with an active link to their content on that platform and type a description of what type of content they make and what they’re looking for. This way people could watch videos of fellow members casting, reloading, shooting, planting trees, building chicken coops, changing a starter on an infinity FX35, etc etc and share the knowledge while supporting their fellow members by following them, subscribing, liking, or whatever the platform allows. I do have self interest here. I do a YouTube page and a TikTok page. I do farming, growing your own food, chickens, reloading, etc.
My example:
I would browse to the CFF content thread… go down to the YouTube thread, and start a post. My post would say “Hi. Please visit my YouTube page for reloading, casting, chickens, growing food, and farm stuff. Please consider subscribing if you like what you see. “Link pasted afterwards blah blah blah”.
That’s the only post I could put in the YouTube thread. I could edit it in the future or whatever but no more than 1 entry per member per platform. I know I’d love to see some of the guru’s here doing ‘MERICA stuff!!

How many people have accounts on CFF? Like total number of members + non-members?

Members = accounts…not Supporting Members
 
So 9k members… maybe 4k active… maybe 50% of those actually looks up how to do stuff on a platform… 50% of those 2000 know how to use a keyboard…. Half of those aren’t shy….half again participate in anything besides the BST… so outta 500 fish in this barrel I get Johnny the porn star and Kcult. Well I read the pulse on this one… he’s dead Jim.

hey you said you do farming and chicken content.
johnny the porn star has to eat too, and he can use his mouth for a few things.

Well, dern. Guess I gotta be serious.

I think it's a good idea, as long as we can get some to participate.

I have a YouTube account, but I'm not really doing much with it, just using it as a hosting site to put a BS video on here once in a while.

Right off hand, I can think of at least three "content" members, but I'm sure there are others.

Well I’m happy to but want to get it in the right place. I’ll pm it to ya til they decide on live links in a thread on it.

Ive got a bunch of youtube vids and am always up to doing more and Im the admin on a NFA forum on facebook. Im game. Not sure youtube appreciates my "heres how to make your toaster a machinegun" videos though.
 
So looks like we have a few willing to post up some content. My GF says she is gonna join CFF for the canning, homestead, garden stuff and she makes a few videos also. Even Kcult’s few videos are entertaining I’d subscribe. (I remember him posting something about getting smacked on the head on his own CC surveillance system or something) 😂

Why not just start a thread in the movie/TV/media sub forum. Maybe add (social) in front of media in the forum name.

I’m great with that. I was just told to feel the pulse here before starting anything.
