I’ve been wanting to visit Mid South Guns for awhile now. Well on Monday afternoon, I had to go to Alberdeen. Had a some extra time and thought what the heck, let’s see how far Wagram is from my location. GPS showed it was only 20 minutes, so I thought what the heck and I arrived around 3:15.

HOLE LE COW!!!! That place is incredible! Couldn’t tell you how many times I tripped over my jaw that was on the floor. The meager hour I had to spend was not no where near enough to explore the entire store.

Defiantly will be going back soon. If you are looking for some hard to find firearms, check there first! Might same you a lot of time. Their prices seemed to be fair, with some decent deals. They even had a Beretta I’ve been looking for.

You need a minimum of 1/2 a day there.

I'll never forget the first time I went about 10 years ago, just stopped in the door and froze looking at the walls.
More LC Smith shotguns in one place than all I had ever seen in my life.

I cannot endorse going to that store. I think i've been there 4 times, and walked away with a gun each time at a good price. do not go.

edit - last time i went there was to meet up with another member to buy his gun, and i STILL wound up buying a gun from MS

I got out once without buying anything. But the other 4 times I was not so lucky.

Their side by side shotgun selection was the most incredible selection I’ve ever seen.

Glad you made it @Average Joe . I heard about that place mentioned several times at Battery Oaks. One year @BatteryOaksBilly said he was going in December and asked if anyone wanted to go. Well, I jumped at the chance. I took a pocket full of cash and I was going to buy something. I had nothing in particular in mind, I was just determined to buy something.

I was like @ronn47 , I stepped inside and just stopped and looked in awe. Two rows of wood and blue steel lined the walls, rifles and shotguns galore. Handgun cases were packed with everything that you could imagine. I would pick out something and then, something else would catch my eye. There were so many things that I liked and wanted but, I couldn't make a decision. I left with my pocket full of cash and all I got was a headache from trying to see everything.

And, the thing that really stood out was I think there were only 4 AR's in the building. The rest were mostly wood and steel guns. There were modern guns in there, just not the tactical stuff you see everywhere else.

There is a place in Houston, Collectors Firearms, that has a nice inventory of older guns that are not seen much anymore. It is a nice place and they have just about anything that you could think of. But, they have some hefty prices, too. You can Google them and see some of what they have.

Collectors Firearms
Yes. I used to stop in there driving home in the afternoon when the traffic was backed up. Pricey but good stuff.

Hooksett, NH used to have a shop called Riley's. We used to call it Riley's Toy Store. Walls and walls of guns. Sadly they have gone the way of the dinosaur.
At least I got to experience it before moving. 🥺

On one trip there several years ago, I counted more than 70 Winchester Model 12s and also more than 70 Browning A-5s. I found the best deals on new shotguns when I was shooting a lot of sporting clays, and bought a new Browning and new Beretta from there. My Dad, Brother and I would go and make it a half day field trip.
The only way to make the trip better would be to have a Santa Claus there full time for adults to tell what they want for Christmas, gun-wise. Santa could point and say, "It's right over there."

Think they might have a new tactical or competition Savage Reneguage at a decent price? I've seen the field guns locally, but that's it.

I have no idea. Honestly, I spent the majority of my time looking at the old side by sides, over/unders, and lever action rifles. And about two display cases of handguns.

When you posted this I was excited because I thought it was a gun shop I stopped at a decade or so ago that I’ve never been able to find since. This one looks pretty awesome though and worth a trip sometime.

I *think* the shop I stopped at I think was somewhere between Charlotte and Isle of Palms, SC. I spotted it on the drive down, a small looking place but a sign claimed some sort of “worlds largest collection” claim I thought “ha” and kept going since we were on a schedule and was close after hours.

On the way back I spotted it again and cut in, the place was open and we pulled in. The place was amazing! Had a lot of standing circular glass cases with high end stuff and historic firearms. But I’ve forgotten the name and location, would like to go back there.

I thought y'all were embellishing a bit until I looked at the interior photos on Google
You thought one of us would embellish a story? Here at CFF we have a saying, "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story."

I'm going to to try to make the pilgrimage and meet some of you fine folks. I talked to Phillip when I was there and asked him did he know Roger Barnes he said he was a dear friend. Roger owned Quaker Neck guns in Fayetteville had some really high end guns.Roger passed away a few years ago. His famous saying was Anybody can look it takes a man to buy.

Do you know if this Roger Barnes used to race motorcycles?

I go through Wagram 2-3 times a week and always stop in. I’ve bought so much shit there that I now list Phillip as a dependent on my income tax. what is more amazing than the inventory is his knowledge on all types of guns, especially the high end double barrels and any older gun. One day about 6 months ago Phillip called me for info/advice on a Smith and Wesson. Wound up going to the hospital because I had an erection for over 4 hours.

Way back when they first opened, they really had the inventory especially on old O/U's. I bought a case of 410 shotgun shells there one time and thats it.

This image would have saved you hours of discomfort along with the ER costs.
