Military exchange pulled 10+ round mags

Trump is turning out to be a RHINO. He was a democrat in the 80s and 90s and best friends with the Clintons. He was not my pick during the primaries but he was better than Hillary. I hope we have not been conned

Knee jerk BS - the murderer in Florida used 10 round mags, the sandy hook murder was swapping mags with 10/15 rounds in them just like he played the video games.

I just walked away from the firearms counter in the mini-mall at Bragg...they were in the process of pulling all rifle and pistol magazines from the racks that hold more than 10rds and sending them back to the vendor; this is from an AAFES executive memo they received...they wouldn't share a copy of it.
One of the ladies that has worked the counter for awhile believes they will be making more changes to the types of firearms they sell in the near future.
I did buy the last two pmag d60s they had.

Will be emailing both senators shortly.

The vendors need to refuse any returns and make these retailers eat it if they don't want to sell them.

When did they start selling guns on post? I was at Bragg from '95-'04 & '07-'08 & they never sold guns while I was there. Used to be able to buy in Germany from the MWR Rod & Gun clubs, but I've never seen it Stateside.

Decisions like that come from the top. Somebody close to the president or he himself has made that call.

Bragg started selling firearms around 2010 or thereabouts...

Standing there watching the lady pull the mags from the rack and put them in the cart, in the PX at Ft Bragg of all places, I just could not believe it...when I first asked what she was doing (though I already knew), she said she was re-arranging the display, which I suppose she was...then I specifically asked about removing mags from the store and she told me about the memo and that they had to be gone today.

We elect the guy that made promises and we get this. A wolf in sheep's clothing? And they wonder why we are pissed?

He financially supported Hitlery's and Charles Rangle's campaigns in the past few years.
We've been Art of the Dealed.

He really hasn't many things he has promised. I was willing to give him a chance, but when Hillary wasnt prosecuted I figured the fix was in. All these politicians are like TV wrestlers.

I don’t think th POTUS had anything to do with this. I think it was someone else.

Tom Shull is an American businessman and Director/CEO of the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, No. 56 on the National Retail Federation's STORE magazine's Top 100 Retailers list. Shull joined the Exchange in 2012 as the first civilian to lead the Department of Defense oldest and largest retailer. He also serves on the Exchange's Board of Directors.

Drove across post today to the south post px to look at their gun counter...they also have pulled all rifle & pistol magazines >10rds capacity.

Sorry Joe, no more PMAGS for you on post...you can't be trusted.

AAFES is putting them back on the shelves. They overturned their decision.

will begin restocking its shelves this week with high-capacity ammunition magazines — reversing a policy to stop selling magazines that hold 11 or more rounds.

Exchange officials reversed their firearm policy based on input from customers, according to a statement from AAFES.

“Feedback from active-duty, Guard and Reserve soldiers and airmen highlighted the criticality of high-capacity magazines as it relates to readiness and proficiency,” officials stated.

I wonder whether it had more to do with a drop in total sales from customers expressing their displeasure.

I talked to my dad a couple days ago and we discussed maybe a small panic starting he said couldn't tell from the PX shelves, said they were packed with Magpuls. He never noticed them gone, but he's well stocked so doesn't make a habit of checking.

I think you must fairly close to the reason they reversed their decision. I recall reading that aafes was opening online sales to veterans. I never shopped there when I was on active duty, so i dont care for them either way. But there must be a reason aafes is opening the doors for new customers - sales are down and they need more customers with fresh money?

I have no insight but still guess the dissatisfaction was easy to measure in lost sales rather than correspondence from unhappy customers. They vote with their wallets.
