I don't recall them being called anything other than 'chow hall' when I was in. Maybe they did and I wasn't paying attention.
FWIW I ate at the hospital cafeteria a lot. Better food, shorter lines.
Do you have to fight for your food before you can eat it?

Sorry, but this made me laugh a bit...my Mug years were a bit further "back in the day", in the decade of decadence, when the worlds most physically fit alcoholics roamed Fayette'Nam during hours of limited visibility 7 days a week.
The best shows I saw at the Mug, that I remember...and I say best because I actually saw the whole show...UFO, BOC, Nazareth, Molly Hatchet, Joan Jett (big, big fight in the parking lot that night afterwards), and the girls that really rocked that place, Vixen. As small as it was, the Mug always drew big names, a haven for us "rock'en rollers with one foot in the grave." At least twice I remember walking back to Ardennes & Biazza from the Mug when we didn't have enough money left between us for a cab (almost none of us actually owned cars then).
