After checking my daughter's tires for ride issues, I discovered the inside of the driver's side rear was slick and wavy. Like it has negative camber. I checked the inside of the passenger rear and it was noticeably worn, but not half as bad as the driver's side. Both front tires appeared normal, or at least not "in your face" bad.
The car got dropped off yesterday for two new rears and a four wheel alignment. Upon picking it up, we were told that the rear was in spec, and not just in spec, but "green" everywhere. Whatever that means. But, the toe in was out on the front.
Not really being a car guy, I'll admit to being a bit confused. Is it possible for a front end alignment issue on the front, to affect the rear tires, in my opinion, disproportionately? He did ask if the tires had been rotated, thinking maybe someone put worn fronts on the back. The answer was no.
Regardless, I'll be keeping an eye on the wear pattern, but if there's something I should be looking for, I would appreciate a heads up.
