After checking my daughter's tires for ride issues, I discovered the inside of the driver's side rear was slick and wavy. Like it has negative camber. I checked the inside of the passenger rear and it was noticeably worn, but not half as bad as the driver's side. Both front tires appeared normal, or at least not "in your face" bad.

The car got dropped off yesterday for two new rears and a four wheel alignment. Upon picking it up, we were told that the rear was in spec, and not just in spec, but "green" everywhere. Whatever that means. But, the toe in was out on the front.

Not really being a car guy, I'll admit to being a bit confused. Is it possible for a front end alignment issue on the front, to affect the rear tires, in my opinion, disproportionately? He did ask if the tires had been rotated, thinking maybe someone put worn fronts on the back. The answer was no.

Regardless, I'll be keeping an eye on the wear pattern, but if there's something I should be looking for, I would appreciate a heads up.

The car is a 2014 Honda Accord Sport sedan.

Once a wear patten gets set in a tire no matter what its going to wear that same way for the life of the tire.

Yes, it’s possible. It’s called “dog tracking” or “dog legging” and it causes the rear tires to track at an angle relative to the direction being traveled.

I believe you received what is known as a toe n go. (Adjust front toe to center steering wheel)
You didnt mention what make and model, but by your descriptions you have a front wheel drive vehicle with independent rear suspension, which I bet has either worn struts and toe or camber issues.
Without seeing the printed before and after specs, I cant tell you is going on.

In this photo, the front end is out of specs, in the red. These tires will wear down on the inside due to the "extreme" toe out.
The rear, while "all in the green" will chop the inner part of the tires due to the camber being just far enough from the center line. An adjustment is still needed and recommend. Simple too.

This is more than likely what is going on with your vehicle

This photo shows a much better, albiet a steering wheel that is a tad off center, alignment. The black arrows have been adjusted to the center/neutral most part of the "specs area" this vehicle has a bit more acceptable usage.

Were the tires always ran at correct pressure and balanced as well? If yes I would for sure look at advice above.
