Always good experiences with Atlantic here. The one time I had a gun with a problem from them, they bent over backwards and made it right.

They teased one at SHOT and failed to deliver for 3yr before finally announcing that it was on hold due to their new ammo plant.

Rumors are floating out there that they lost the lead builder/designer and that is the reason.

No I’ve never bought anything from them I just hate the “we’ll charge your card and ship it out whenever we get it” way of doing business. I don’t mind waiting I just wish more vendors would wait to charge the card until the order is ready to ship like Larue does it.
 
Regarding Atlantic, same, all I have ever heard about them is if they list it as "in stock" on their website, it is in their hands and they will get it out quick.

Additional info for those looking for a good brace. I ordered the new A3 Tactical collapsible one. Price wasn't bad and I have been impressed with their stuff before. Received it, and it is indeed very nice and a quality piece. Installed it, started playing with it, and immediately knew I wasn't going to run it. One reason: collapsed, it blocks the manipulation of the selector. The purpose of me getting this gun was to 1) keep it as a pistol to backpack carry or otherwise (single point bungie sling with it under a winter jacket, anyone?) and 2) fire it collapsed if needed (vehicle, close quarters, on quick deployment). So this was a deal breaker. You'll notice it even blocks it at the next to last stop extended. So the safety isn't clear unless fully extended.

To be fair, I plan on swapping to the Magpul ESK selector anyway, but I can't imagine it will help to the point that it justifies it. So back to the Google machine, and amazingly, the Safety Harbor KES brace was in stock, though without the tailhook. Ordered it, and it's amazing. Not as compact collapsed as the A3T, but overall the rods riding in the channels make so much more sense.

I my AP5-P up just a couple days ago. It was a little under a grand pre-tax/shipping, and I'm just not sure how much lower they're gonna go. Knowing my luck, they'll go on black Friday sale for $699 or something though.

Haven't shot it yet, hoping to get to the range with it this weekend. Still deciding on an optic setup.
 
Ive already got both PTR's SBR'd but Im thinking about picking up one of those just for the hell of it at that price.
 
Although I don't have a crystal ball, I think this period of time will be remembered as the golden era of cheap, decent quality MP5 clones. If you're at all interested in the platform I think it's a great time to buy, and might even become a good investment of sorts.

This is 100% the best time. MKE melting down has drove the price down on all clones. I picked up a new ZF5 clone from Zenith for 1300. This gives you a perminate 20% discount on all Zenith mags and accessory's. This stacks with the "hero" discount as well. Couldnt be happier.
 
Honestly, depending on what the ol Christmas bonus and financial situation looks like I might grab a second, because who doesn't wanna dual wield MP5s?
 
who’s got the best price in these things now? PSA has the non threaded core model for $900 but that’s not an option for me I need to be able to use my new obsidian. Dahlonega armory has them for $1064 when you add to the cart. I haven’t found anything cheaper than that in stock.

That is going to be your cheapest option. Next closest is Atlantic Firearms and they are $1099. Have to add it to the cart to see that price. Probably comes down to who charges tax and what shipping is.

That isn't that much higher than wholesale. I'd go with Dahlonega.
 
Finally got mine set up where I want it. I haven't shot it much, but it'll run basically everything I've tried ammo wise including some weird 80gn stuff I have, but it REALLY doesn't like Winchester 115gn white box target ammo. Maybe that stuff is just loaded way lighter, who knows. Tula/Winchester steel 115, Blazer 115, IMI 124, Geco 124, Winchester JHP, plus some other one off boxes all run fine.

From a rest, I get about a 2-2.5" group at 50yd, and a 25yd zero on the optic gets me easy hits at 10-75 yd on an 8" plate.

I'm super happy with this thing so far, probably going to start shopping for a can here soon.
