Any one who's read my post at the old site know I've always been in the if it ain't a1911 in in 45, it ain't for me,but I ended up with this sig 938 , wasn't really in the market for one ,and it was in the despised 9 mm, a caliber I wouldn't be caught dead carrying, but it was was a deal I couldn't pass up ,throw it in the safe or use it for trade bait, I thought, but a couple of weeks a go I threw,it in the range bag just for S&Gs.it was super accurate,no malfunctions , but it was still 9mm, cut to a couple of days later my back and hip hurting so bad I was limping noticably, couldn't even think about belting on the officer's model, I threw it in my jacket pocket, along with a couple spare mags in the off hand pocket, the weight wasn't even noticeable, so over the last week it's slowly became my EDC, I wont ever be firmly entrenched in the 9mm camp, and I'll still shoot my beloved 1911s in idpa ,
But for now, gonna have me another slice of this crow, mmmmm.

Crow taste better warm. lol

You'll be carrying a Glock 19 before long!

The Sig is a quasi 1911 so there is that to cling to

In the same predicament myself. Because I'm not a very smart guy and having to use one specific model of handgun all the time for work my EDC and competition guns were of the same make. This way I could keep the same manual of arms across the board no matter what I was doing at the time. I kept saying until I retired I wouldn't change because I don't want to confuse my simple mind with carrying one make for defensive purposes and another for competitions. But the other day I ran across a great deal on S&W M&P Pro and I must admit it is a real shooter. So I'm eating some of the crow sandwich too. I've learned that its best to just bite, chew, shallow and repeat!

A Sig 938 recently replaced my beloved beretta nano as my EDC. Took them both to the range along with plenty of ammo, targets, and my shot timer and ran them back to back and there was really no contest. I could shoot the Sig faster and more accurately every time.

Im enjoying some of that crow myself in a way as there was a time not that long ago that I swore I would never carry a gun that had a manual safety. Glad now that I gave it a try.

If that 938 has you enamored, a day at the range with a 226 will have you selling off your 1911's ;)

I carried a 226 daily for roughly 20 years. It was very comforting to have 15+1 that would never malfunction (I put roughly 3-5k down the pipe and the previous owner used it in competition) and would put rounds exactly where the sights were lined up every single time.

Ridden hard and put away wet, it still beats most other pistols hands down.

I'm willing to concede a little on the 9mm round, but not on the Sao trigger on the 1911and let's face it folk this is a mini 1911minus the grip safety, this is what colt should have done to the pocketlite, they had it sitting right in front of them all those years and didn't see it. Not the first time colts R&D dropped the ball.

Make you wonder if it was the purist mindset.

I have a P238 and it is awesome! If you must stay 1911, the RIA Baby Rock is a neat little pistol. You even get to keep the grip safety.

2011s and 1911s for range and competition, and Springfield EMP9 for carry. That said, I do like the 938. EMP is too big for pocket carry and the 938 is perfect for that.

I've always said it was Gaston's greatest creation.

No. No. It was brilliant. No, no, no, no. There is no word to describe its perfection, so I am forced to make one up. And I'm going to do so right now. Scrumtrilescent.
