I have a model 94 chambered in 25-20 and am trying to determine a value. I have reached out to Marlin, but they said the serial number outdates their data base and were not much help. So just wondering if anyone knows of a historian or some who has a solid knowledge base and can help me with the history and a possible value. Looking forward to some good responses!

Post good clean photos here.
We have an amazing group of people here with a bunch of knowledge.

the serial number is 367398.

That sn# is probably made around 1910, give or take a couple of years. I can't tell from your pics, but is the forearm checkered? Crescent butt? Barrel length? If you ever shoot it, you'll love it. 25-20 is a fun round to shoot.

marlin 94 in 25-20 are currently SELLING in the 700 to 900 price range. (Everyday guns) Yours seems to be an exceptional version with marbles sight, octagonal barrel and a checkered stock with inlay. I would estimate yours would sell on the higher end of that price range, maybe even more if bidders fought for it.
If it were my gun and I wanted to sell - I would list it on an auction sight with a reserve in the 900.00 range with a 14 day auction. I would expect it to sell for above 1200,00

Thanks for the feedback and insight. I shot it previously this year and it is absolutely a pleasure to shoot and quite accurate. I was pleasantly surprised!
it does have a crescent butt stock and the forearms are not "checkered". I measure 23.5" from the end of the barrel to where the barrel meets the chamber.
Any suggestions on auction sites would be greatly appreciated. I would like to find a good home for it....

Might want to try
