Has anyone else seen this? It was new to me. I don't drink this stuff, but that's a bit frightening.

Damn! So time to use the Monster drink to clean parts. Glad I do not drink that stuff

I can't drink them energy drinks. I'd be awake for 3 days.
One time at the Superbike races in Atlanta,, the Rockstar energy drink people came around and gave us a bunch of the stuff. And it couldn't just be the 12oz can or whatever, it was the hyper-drive 32oz giant cans. They gave us like 2 dozen of the things! wth..32oz? They had everyone cracked out on it.
Have you ever read the ingredients on them cans? They should just flat out say it- guaranteed to get your heart rate at 120bpm or your money back.

Crazy.
I'll stick with BPC though haha

Also - its about half the price at WM than Harbor Freight

I'll vouch for carburetor cleaner. Saw a youtube, for greasy spots in your garage, spray the cleaner, pour some cat litter to absorb, wait about 45 min. and scrape off. Amazingly clean. Works best on smooth concrete, not on driveways.

Been thinking about this - I want to try it, see how well it works in person.
Also, crazy how toxic that stuff is and how some people drink multiple cans per day!

As for the kitty litter post above - work the same with BPC too?
I spilled a bit of oil on my garage floor the other week and need to get it up and looking like Im not a drunk.

Its Autozone brake cleaner. That stuff won't clean chit. Test it with some good quality brake cleaner. Also 'member Coke eats nails and raw beef and chit.

Mostly this.

Brakleen is for oil/grease, not hardened loctite, old soda, or whatever is stuck on his box top.

I always used glass cleaner, ATF, or penetrating oil to clean mine. The mild acid in cola is a decent cleaner though, can do a number on parkerizing as well.

Diet rite soda will do that. Anything mildly acidic will make stuff look "clean" for a minute.

And brake cleaner is for brakes, not greasy toolboxes.

I drink as much Monster as my wallet can stand. My favorite is the white can; I can buy them at Sam's club for $1.50 and drink 3 or 4 per day if the mood strikes me. I have them just like I used to drink diet mountain dew.

There is a reason they have to line the cans of soda and monster! It will eat the can. Funny thing is beer cans do not need to be.

Brake clean will not remove sugar based messes but anything with water in it will. Soak a piece of steak in Coke for a little while and watch the phosphoric acid do it's magic.

He also said it was sticky, meaning it was old dried sugar from drinks, not grease. (Plus the round shape of the dirty rings on the bench.)
Sugar isn't very soluble in brake cleaner. Plain water would likely have worked just as well as monster drink.
