More insanity, AR bloop pistol build

So the idea about using blank trip mines to make a golf ball blooper, it just didn't pan out.

The inimitable @DrPhudd answered my call for a stubby lil barrel and came through like a super swift rockstar. Supplied, chopped, threaded and shipped in less time than it took for a retailer to send me the upper it's going on (ignore the one in the pic, it was the only unpopulated one I could find here)!

So once the upper and the MCS 3.5" weirdo buffer tube arrives, it's functionally done.




I've got a Chinesium (oh how I love the Chinesium) toob handguard that when cut down to 3.25" (which is a mm or so past the checkering, so nice!) will make an almost seamless gap filler. Assuming I don't make a total bollocks of it.



No gas system because I load the projectile muzzle style like an old cannon and I'd rather not have a fresh boom in the chamber with my hands up front. I'll just charge it manually and keep my digits.

I shall name it..... The 15 Iron.

I don't have any M193, but I've got a bunch of Wolf 55gr lol

DrPhudd actually sent it with a nice open format brake on it, so....... Although I'm not sure there's enough barrel to stabilize a bullet honestly. Maybe I'll stick a flash can on there since it's just a big hole.

Cheapo red dot or those pointing finger sights I have laying around. I am super tempted to buy a Larue C-Note for it though.... Just not right now lol

Today I learned they make light up tracer golf balls. Sure they're too pricey to want to lose a bunch of them but one for a camera visible range test......

Sure the lower has the worst black rattlecan covering a horrific and botched weird camo, the handguard needs a little evening out (I cut it with a grinder which was terrifying because it kept binding) and belt sanded it mostly true and it needs some Alumablack where the grinder went rogue and ate some checkering, but I could walk outside and bring the noise while raining balls down upon my enemies.

Well, ball.

If I can find my knockoff Perst 1 laser, I'll stick it up top for aiming. Or a Larue C-Note.

But the 15 Iron, she is done bar cosmetics.

Found a better sight than the Larue I think. It's airsoft, but it should work

Of course, I dunno how many folks have ever used that particular product of theirs for its intended purpose to begin with. I'm excited to know if it's useful for launching golf balls too, that would be neat!

It is, I had it on a Crickett pistol before using yellow Ramset blanks. I just wanted to build a monster version with 556.

Prob so, just need to make up some sort of base/wad to push from behind. Otherwise the pressure will likely just blast thru the center. Prob best asking the shotgun reloaders what would be best material for that.
