Morganton NC NC Gun Collectors Show 4-5 May

Wish I was going to make this one. I was already signed up for Raleigh when they announced the date.
 
yeah, there's been multiple conflicts recently with their dates.

"I" still call over-saturation of shows... don't know how you guys do these schedules... weeks of activity at a time.

How do we do it? We are probably a bit crazy.
 
I would like to go to a NC collector show again. But if they schedule it against a large show and that large show is close to me, the collectors are going to miss out. I joined the group when I first moved to NC. I liked the wares for sale as well as the collections exhibited. I think the last show I attended was in Charlotte? That's been a long while ago, over ten or twelve years I bet. Are their shows held only on the western part of the state?

In recent years, yes. Morganton and Salisbury most recently. Concord before that. Their big annual show was always in Charlotte. Those were the days. People traveled from all over the country to come to them back then. At its peak, they had close to 1000 tables.

Indeed at Charlotte Merchandise Mart at least two BIG rooms... late eighties/ early 90's....

it got down to one room at Holiday Inn in Salisbury NC... and we wuz shoulder to shoulder...
This Morganton Venue is good, and i think they've gone long term here.

At one time they paired up the Salisbury show in old rowan mall and at times with C&E in Charlotte... Long history with them...
 
I'm probably going on Sunday to walk around a bit. Maybe all the deals won't be gone.
