Does anyone have any experience with these rifles? Been interested in the scout rifle system for some time. Was thinking about giving one of these a try but any input would be greatly appreciated. Or should I just spend the extra money on like a Van dorsten custom scout rifle.

I have three of the MVP rifles, one in 5.56 and two in 308.
It not a custom rifle, I've heard complaints about slop in the bolt and fit among other things.
But what it is,is a budget friendly shooter
My 5.56 is a tack driver at 100 yards, the 308 not far behind .
The fact that both will run off ar mags (10,15) that you can get off the shelf make it one of my favorites

I appreciate the input brother. Yea I've handled a couple of them at gun stores/ shows but never seen one out in the wild to be able to see it actually operate so I've been a little skeptical. I have an old Leupold 2-7 that I think will fit on it just right.

I’ll echo what S4f says. Decent rifles for the money but not a custom gun. There is plenty of bolt slap. The Ruger version is a little better rifle but the proprietary Ruger mags makes it a no-go for most people.

Yea I've looked at those as well. Nice rifles but to me I didn't seem worth double what the Mossberg is. As well as $45 a magazine when I already have lr308 mags.
