My mother in law is dying. She will probably pass away in the next few days. She has leukemia and lung cancer. We had hoped she would make it to her 80th birthday in May but it does not seem that is in the cards anymore.
My wife is handling it better than me since she has spent a lot of time helping her the last 9 or so months so she saw the decline and came to grips with it.
I will dearly miss the loud and boisterous old lady and the 12 years of Fourth of July Cookouts, Thanksgivings and Christmases that I had the fortune of spending with her and her wild gang of daughters and sons since I met my wife.
