Anyone in the Charlotte/Fort Mill area that can help me with my bike.

I got a 2007 Triumph Thruxton.

It pops (sounds like a backfire) at idle once warm. Previous owner though maybe it was an air leak as it happend at slight throttle, but I"m only noticing it once warm at idle.

I bought the little D key to tune the air/fuel idle screws but just am at a loss. I mean I'm 33 all my stuff is EFI.

Anyone have a bit of time to help me out?

$$$ - Beer - Pizza - Primers whatever it takes!

Sounds like an air leak to me. Is the popping worse on the overrun when you close the throttle? I once had similar symptoms on a Triumph triple and found a loose spark plug...

Yeah. That's an air leak of some kind somewhere.

Every triumph I've ever dealt with had an air leak at some point.

Try some carb cleaner spray at the flanges were the gaskets are, if speed increased you found the air leak.

Welllllll, I figured I should update this.

I dug into the carb a while ago and basically realized it wasn't using enough of the fuel at idle. A new pilot jet later and wa-la. Bike runs perfect. This is my first bike I've had with carbs so kind of glad everywhere was backed up as I got to learn the workings of one.

Now I have three bikes and one has to go and this one is on the chopping block. But maybe it won't sell and I'll just get to keep all three!
