Moving to NC...from the Dictatorial Republic of Kanada!

Did I hear BBQ? Basically 2 types of BBQ in NC Lexington style and Eastern. And the fight has been going for ???
years as to which is best. LOL Both have there own qualities.

Honest question, I didn't know where else I would ask that. They're based in NC and I figure...it's not that big of a state. You guys aren't into communism (the irony being that antifa supposedly hates fascism but loves communism...good logic there). ??

No this place IS NOT for anything like antifa.
We are a bunch of American Rednecks who just want to be left alone to enjoy our lives, our kids lives and for the most part each other.
We are brothers and sisters from different parents who argue and bitch and moan until one of us gets hurt or needs something, then we all come together like a pack of wolfs to protect the one(s) who got hurt or has a need.

Do we have antifa people on here? Maybe, but they sure don't come out and say so.

Haha okay that's awesome. Listen, we have same or worse up here right now. We've got protests and marches and demands that we "apologize", so I'm not poking fingers at any country or state, just thought it was easier to up and ask. I very much want a good friend/support group to look forward to. The riots/bullshit doesn't bother me, but I didn't want it to be some rick & morty scenario... We've got the protests and communists up here too, BUT we also have ZERO property rights, so if they want to storm neighborhoods and burn our houses to the ground/loot them, we have NO RIGHT TO STOP THEM. We have to wait for police, nothing more. Only if we can prove without a shadow of a doubt that our lives were directly threatened (and good luck with that), to be able to use any kind of force to deter idiots. I'd feel 1000x better if I had the right to defend property. That said, I sure don't like socialists/commies. We're overrun with them.

So appreciate the reply. I just didn't know how else to ask it lol.

Well who knows if we can even get this done by then anyway. I'm not worried about a bad governor, it seems to be the flavor of the month to vote in "progressives", but even up here in socialist eden, people soon discover what damage a leftist/progressive government can do to a region. Slowly we've been voting cons back in on the provincial scale, but the queen bee is still a complete idiot. Like I said in the previous response, I feel a LOT better someplace where I have the option of self defense, and definitely don't feel good leaving my safety up to the government (imagine if your governor could tell you/change what rights you have as a citizen?? That's what we have here.)

I had to look it up, I think I have a grasp on it, but honestly I'm going to have to just take my time and sample BOTH and see what I like...

I understand you guys think you know how to do pulled pork down there eh? :)

Ya'll gonna find that we are gonna rag your azz so be ready for it, BUT if/when you guys need something just ask.
Be ready to do the same back on both items, rag and help and all will be good all around.
 
You can't shoot them stealing or damaging stuff in your yard but.... when they start breaking down the door to your house or come in your windows, they are fair game.

Seriously, as long as I can have my beer, loud music, pickup trucks, bacon, guns and bewbs, all will be right with the world. Up here they are trying to take away at least 3 of those things.... and I'm not okay with it.

Understood. I had a criminal litigation lawyer come here and spell out -exactly- what I can and can't do with regards to self defense... and it literally is almost impossible to avoid jail. I'm not ever looking to go shoot someone that isn't bothering me, but man, it is just so wrong to think that someone inside your bought-and-paid-for house, where you raise your children, has more rights than you do, and they are restricting the definition of "self defense" every day. I'm not one of these tacticool dudes that thinks I'm ex special forces, and I don't want to come off like some sort of BS tough guy...but if I can get my hands on a firearm, I like my chances in a whole lot of situations. :) Up here, they don't even allow mace, tasers or bear spray (kid you not). In fact I set my daughter up with dog spray for when she's walking home at night, and we happen to keep wasp spray handy (oh those pesky wasps). It's ridiculous that I have enough firearms for a platoon, but have to keep bug spray for intruders. Seriously WTF.

Then try the red stuff. Midwest Kansas city and Memphis style. You will than me after tasting vinegar/ red pepper stuff


And it's a 4 wheeler or atv....... [( it's not a quad) that's the first yankee saying I hear around here ]

I tend to call all of them raptors atv's. I'm hoping for enough property to require at least one of them... so I'm sure I'll get the lingo down pretty quick.
As for sauce, I'm totally optimistic. I had a run in with prilosec and a hospital stay a while back, so I have trouble with the spicy stuff, so I'll likely stick with whatever tastes good, is cooked right, and doesn't give me heartburn for the next 10 years ;)

That said I don't think I've ever met a sauce I didn't like on some level, as long as it's smothering something that used to be wandering around on at least 3 legs I'm good.

Best pig I ever had was done in a pit over 2 days. Simply never had anything come close to that in many years. It just fell off the bone, totally incredible. So if I can find some of that, I don't care what sauce is on it :)
 
Gotta say the pushback from our friends and family here, now that they are catching wind of our decision...has been pretty brutal. Of course, the TV here just pumps out tons and tons of riots and fire, and oh of course all the police are monsters, and why would you ever move to such a dangerous country and blah blah blah. The brainwashing is almost complete up here. Sheeple following the Ted Turner news cartel. It's getting a bit tiring. I keep saying "don't worry about it, we're not making YOU go anywhere, stay here and enjoy your socialism and your dictator. You feel safer with the government telling you your rights, and I'm happier knowing my rights are carved in stone. I tell you, if I can get my citizenship in my lifetime...I will defend that constitution to my last days. That's the only shield you have between you and true slavery. People here don't see it, they're in a very comfortable prison.
