My 1st rifle

My Crossman PowerMaster 760 circa 1968, got it when I was 9 yrs old $25 and the scope was $7. Pump action repeater style, will take BB or .177 pellets. Can send a BB at 1,300 fps rifled barrel. I used it 100% for targets and cans, still use it now and then.

First rifle was a Remington 788 in 308. Bought it new when I turned 16. Still have it.

First 22 was a 10/22 carbine with the checkered sporter stock. It was actually my 3rd rifle. I still have that one as well

My first rifle, which I still have, is a Marlin 336 30/30. It was a Christmas present when I was 11. It’s clean as a museum piece and it has only had exactly 7 shots fired through it. Would snap a pic, but it is literally tucked into the very back corner of a safe. Not feeling the need to unpack and repack the safe today! 😛

How about those 9 locking lugs on the 788! Looks awesome when the bolt is open

First bought for me:
Circa 1980. Ruger 10/22, back then I tricked it out with an Aimpoint 2000 and everything Quality Parts (Bushmaster) had in their catalog.

First one I bought:
Circa 1986. Norinco Type 56

Still have them both.

My second rifle was a 336 in 30-30 and it’s still one of my favs… there’s just something about a lever action. Great whitetail gun too.

My first rifle was my father's 1932 Daisy. He received it on his fifth birthday. The first time I shot it was my fifth birthday. I take it out of the display case one or two times a year to shoot it now and oil. Still love it as much today as I did the first time I shot it. Just means more to me today.

My first was a Sears single shot .22 rifle , made by Winchester. My mom ordered it out of the catalog and it was delivered to the house in time for my birthday in 1967.

Thinking about this always makes me smile when I see references to "hoW eAsY guns are to obtain today...."

I've shot many many thousands of rounds out of it...all fed one at a time, followed by clicking off the safety. It's in perfect shape still.
