Weirdest thing at my house…my phone, my work phone, and my son’s phone all show dead. My wife’s shows full bars. 🤔

2 of my kids, my wife and I all have Cricket, we're all down too 😞
And I have 2 phones, 1 for work and 1 personal.

ETA- wife's phone is working, but it's the only one of 6 that are.

I have first net, wife has ATT, both seem to be working, already texted this morning. AT&T hotspot is not working. Of course CenturyLink, bright speed, or whatever it is not is not working. I'm using the hot spot on my phone.

AT&T coverage normal in my area near RDU.
Edit: restarted my phone after updates, now emergency calls only.
Perhaps a fiber optic cable was damaged.

I got a notification from work since we’re on AT&T, but my work phone and personal on Spectrum seem to be fine after turning WiFi off.
 
This explains why my truck wouldn’t auto start this morning. Ford uses ATT network to send signals.

The suffering is real, people. I had to get into a cold vehicle before sunrise. Miserable I tell you.

Now that is actually funny. I’ve been involved in auxcomm for several years now, though my interest is waning. I see what amounts to absolute hubris on the part of govt. and emergency management in terms of over estimating their response capabilities. They give themselves way too much credit and First Net is but one example.

Had them for way too long, worst experience ever 🤮
Now I have Randolph; fiber to my house, never goes down.

There is probably extremely limited back up and even fewer individuals who know how to use said back up systems.
Sooner or later a solar flare/EMP/or 'other' event is going to disrupt the whole system and everything will be throw into chaos.
 
Wasn’t there a cyber attack on Israel cellular networks in the last few days? Heard a comment on the radio that it was Iranian backed. 🤨🤔

Just was talking with one of the ladies at work, she's still out and has been since 6am.

CELL NETWORK OUTAGE EXPLAINED:
A 12-hour outage of AT&T's network on Thursday interrupted cell phone service for tens of thousands of Americans.
The outage coincided with a series of X-class solar flares from giant sunspot AR3590.
However, the solar flares have been exonerated.
AT&T did it to themselves.
"Based on our initial review, we believe the outage was caused by the application
and execution of an incorrect process used as we were expanding our network,"

 
I got a text saying that I’m getting a credit, don’t know the amount.
