Random thoughts...trying to recall all the NC AR manufacturers...I can recall a few but I'm sure that's not even half...
Del-ton
Bear creek
Granville gunworks

names have slipped my mind...
Place in Fayetteville
Place in Salisbury

Who else ?

Our native 3D patriots deserve an honorable mention.

To Further derail, Hoffman Tactical is right next door in Tennessee. I got to handled a few of his offerings and it's NICE stuff.

Don’t buy a Bear Creek. For the love of god.
They had a rough start but the only thing I hear people complaining about now is the gorilla that tightens the barrel nuts. I have one of their uppers and know people who own several of different calibers and like them as I do mine. No need to keep disparaging an NC company that appears to have gotten their act together, at least appropriate for their price point.

USA TACTICAL FIREARMS (in all caps) used to be in Statesville but moved up near Hickory. I don't know if they are still in business anymore and their rifles were pretty sketchy anyway.

I’m glad you and some others have had good experiences. My opinion remains unchanged.

Archangel arms is in Raleigh if they are still in business
+1 for Archangel

@Flipside1212 got me into them, turns out owner kids and my kids went to same school and my sister in law is friends with his wife

Had one issue with a lower (rear takedown was too loose) and he replaced it no questions asked and was quick to respond

Good dude to work with

Reminds me, need to get another lower from him for the can cannon

My side charging .300 blk upper from the 4th of July did not have the carrier key staked properly, was hanging on for dear life after a single mag, and the firing pin protrusion may be off as well. I think for the most part, the parts are fine, but their QC still appears to be extremely hit or miss on the assembly side of things at a minimum.

If you treat their stuff as "parts kits" they arent bad to work with.

Just dont expect them to be ready to go...

When you want something *weird*. I'd love to see a .50 Beo PSA, but that hasnt happened yet. And while I dont care for side charging AR uppers, people can build what they want on one that doesnt cost 500 bucks for just the upper.
Why would you buy BCA when Delton and PSA exist?

I bought their 10.5” version a couple years ago using my birthday discount. 😳 (Free shipping, but had to add tax to that amount)

Thanks for that data point. All I know is what I've experienced and heard first hand from others. BTW my upper is a side charging 300BLK I bought about 4 years ago and runs fine although admittedly it doesn't get a lot of use.

Part of my opinion is I'm biased because they are close to me and I'd like to see them have a better rep but it has to be earned.

I will say this. They received my upper yesterday for evaluation and I already had a shipping notification that it was on its way back today. Now we just need to see if it’s fixed!

Well, they sent my upper back with a carrier key that looks like it'd been staked by Hercules, and what I suspect is a new bolt/cam/firing pin. Unfortunately the cam pin is likely out of spec (need pliers to turn it in the bolt to remove it), as was the retaining pin, and the handguard nuts were not tightened. I'm confident it'll run, but...

PSA not made in NC. I have no problem with their products, but they are on my doodoo list back in 21 I ordered a 9mm complete lower shipped it to my FFL 2 days went by and I received a email the order was canceled. I called them and was informed they could not sell a pistol/pistol lower out of state..I asked its shipping to my ffl what difference does it make. They said it was their policy not to sell out of state. I said fine....ordered a Tennessee arms lower got it in 2 days...that was my last dealing with PSA.
