My usual painter seems to be ghosting me. He drove up to the house to look the car over and said he’d shoot a quote to me in a few days…it’s been 2+ weeks. He does really good work, but now it seems that he’s avoiding my calls and not responding to texts. I’m looking for a new painter or I’m going to shoot it myself.

Car is a 65 mustang convertible. The body is all steel and 90%+ and ready for someone to finish it off. I’ll trailer this an hour + for the right painter.

I’m looking for a good job not a showcar. I pay in cash and don’t care if it’s a shop or a side job for a paint job…

Any suggestions? I’m ready now…

Lewis paint and body in pilot if he's still doing work. I haven't talked to him in long while tho.

Kevin Joyner on TK Allen Rd in Louisburg is GTG

A buddy of mine owns this place.

He was doing this when we met, which was well over 20 years ago, so he may have been doing it longer. Regardless, his shop puts out really good work.

Well, I hopped on the golf cart and rode down to a neighbor's house. He's retired now, but I thought he was still painting cars as a side hustle.

I was reminded of him because of the car.

He painted his, but unfortunately, he doesn't paint anymore.

Thanks to all for the suggestions. I’m striking out left and right. Many aren’t shooting full cars, don’t want to deal with old stuff or are booled up.

I have a couple more leads and am waiting on a couple call backs, but I’m starting to consider more seriously the idea of shooting it myself.

For poots and grins, call these people.

I've used them for two of my BMWs with excellent results.

I realize it might be further than you want to drive, but if they say yes, they are only about 1/4 mile from my house. You can drop it off and hang out with me. That's worth more than the price of admission.

Heck, you can even leave your trailer in my backyard instead of dragging it all the way back. Lol
