I have a Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32 Scout scope with a really tight magnification ring. Can someone point me to a throw lever that is functional and durable? TIA!

I purchased a Vortex that came with a throw lever and I could not get it tight enough to hold. It's now residing in the junk bin. I use Breakaway Nylon Coasters and they work fine. Ugly as all get out but they work.

I'm not recommending Ebay but tis is what I'm talking about.

That is one ugly mother, but I'll check it out. Thank you!

I used this on a Crossfire 2 Scout with no issues.

MK Machining is also an option. I've used theirs before on other scopes and have been happy.

I guess not, I thought it worked with all of there scopes.
Their adjustment rings are all over the map size wise. They make them for some models (usually the higher end ones) but not all. You got me excited for a min that maybe they were making them for the Crossfires LOL.

I'm looking at them too. I wish they made a Pro series model for the Scout scope, but no, just the nylon. Still looking ...

Their nylon ones are pretty tough. I have several and haven't broken one yet.

Have several of the breakaway ones too and they also work.

At one time, @Djstorm100 was 3D printing them to fit a range of scopes. I know he could do them that would fit the first Gen Vortex Viper PSTs and also Primary Arms 4-14X44. But I do not know if he ever did any for Crossfires.

MK Machining is likely the best option of a fairly limited group...

Supposedly this fits the Crossfire II 1" and 30mm varietals and it's Pro Series instead of polymer: https://www.mkmachining.com/product/vortex-pro-series-throw-levers/#color

the other question to ask is why are so many rings so tight?
what good is a LPVO if you have to take it off your shoulder, tuck it under your arm for leverage, and really crank on it to change the magnification?

Update:

I bought this one:

I was very leery about nylon -- I really wanted aluminum -- but once I got it, examined it, and fitted it to the scope, I think it'll be fine. I'm not doing run-n-gun with a Ruger Gunsite Scout 308, so it's not going to see any high volume usage.

I will say that it is clearly very important to fit it carefully to the scope: get the alignment right, seat it properly, tighten it carefully ... but once it's on, it feels solid and it makes a big difference operationally.
