not readily seeing a better place to ask this. wouldn't seem to fit in the for sale section, nor in reloading.

Going to the Vintage 2-gun match at PHA tomorrow and I'd like to pick up 40-60 more rounds of FMJ type '06 somewhere in the triangle in the next 12 hours or so if I can, so that I can have a little larger cushion of extra ammo (min rifle round count is 70rds I have 96 on hand [12 fully loaded en-blocs] ) .

I left the area in '99 and didn't come back till early 2015 so it's been a long time since I knew where any of the "Good" gun stores in this area are, or even the not quite as good but well stocked ones. in fact the only place I remember form "Before" that's still around is Young Guns in Apex! and since I'm in Henderson now, that is a heck of a trip for "might have what I need.

anyway, anyone have a suggestion or two? it is greatly appreciated.

Im trying to think if this might get more attention in reloading, or what. Not sure. Guess we will see what happens. good luck, always helps to have a little extra!
 
Walmart might be worth a call. I have seen Garand marked 30-06 there.

As a backup to what I Hope I can arrange I think I might check the one in Wake Forrest, the Henderson one kind of sucks on the ammo front.

headed out to do a little snooping around but the PM Slacker sent has put me on to what I hope is a good lead and I'm attempting to contact someone selling spam cans of HXP.
 
thanks for the suggestions guys.

was able to contact the gentleman selling the HXP, and have acquired enough to get me through the match and further till I can get my dies and supplies for 30-06 handloading.
