Get your act together. I'm getting a bit tired of receiving an "I'll take it " in an ad only to have you go dark or straight up back out for lame or even no reason.

Be sure before you blurt out the Magic Words.

Ive not reported any yet and would sure like to see you newbies have a 50 post requirement before you can buy/sell or even pm.

Rant completed. I feel better.

Most folks around here will drop a dime on you for not keeping your word. I don't blame them. There are members here who have been part of the history of this forum going on fourteen plus years. We not nameless people on some message board. We're more than that. Family is what comes to mind. So if you drop a duce in the punch bowl, you deserve to leave. Not keeping your word is is a worthy offence of being shown the door.

I am advised by mgmt that I'll take it means nothing as thoroughly discussed elsewhere. Damn, didn't see that coming and sure missed that thread.

It's what I say in open forum and pm in an effort to insure a seller knows I'm serious ..... and I expect to be removed for not following through on it.

I'd hope newbies would act simarily.

In case you missed it…here’s the last big discussion about it:

Got it. Price place time terms.

To gen such a thread there must be a mountain of folks making initial commitments and backing out. My house we call that f'd up.....

I'll have to watch my self around all these character flaws, could get sticky in here.

Exactly my point. A commitment, with consequences. But, I got it now. I won't grumble further. I will halt dealing with newbies though.

Thanks all for helping me get this figured out.

If the seller crafts his ad well then an “I’ll take it” can have some teeth.

For sale, one sealed box of thin mints, have been stored in freezer for six months, just thinning the herd and decide that I like samoas better.
$22, cash only, FTF in Keeblerville, can meet Sat morning.

or

For sale, cap pistol with custom stippling. $250, pmt by USPSMO, price includes shipping to your FFL.

In either case, ”I‘ll take it” means that you’ve accepted the terms, there is nothing to negotiate, the deal is done.

Wish you were closer. 😞

Negative feedback bruh! Seriously! If they’re backing out they don’t belong! Let the staff give em the boot!

Every time I start to think I have some creative talent, I get on this forum and discover that somebody else is funnier, quicker, and more creative than me.

I think the same thing just about every time I check in.

What I find hilarious, is @Sharps40 complaining about people saying "I'll take it," then not taking it.

The reason I don't even try to buy anything from this character, is because he had a set of tires for sale. I think I saw one person say, "PM sent." I said I'll take them. And please forgive me, because I'm going by memory here (although if I spend enough time, I can probably find the ad and the PMs). But if I recall correctly, I was met with, "I have two people ahead of you that are very interested." Very interested? I said I'll take them. Then I was met with some timestamp crap. So, I had to wait for two different people to kick the tires and decide whether they wanted them or not, even though I offered to buy them.

That's when I decided not to buy them and not deal with this guy again, when it came to BST.

So, whine about new guys not following through with their "I'll take it." If they were met with the same crap I was, they shouldn't "take" anything you put up.

Drunk and petty. That's how I roll.

I got some more tires if you still want them. Free too but I have 7 I'll take its ahead but can now officially ignore them to coddle you. Let me know. :)

You are number 8 but kcult is first according to my new improved understanding of the rules ..... but he prolly won't come thru as he seems to be upset.

I got over it a while back, but I felt your complaining was dripping with irony.

It just took you this long to pick the scab off that less than stellar encounter.

I used to do the “time stamp” thing but I stopped that a while back and ever since discovering the thread about how “I’ll take it doesn’t matter for shit”, now it’s really if I like you or don’t like you, or do I know who you are, I just sold 2 optics yesterday to a great guy and another great guy missed PMing me by less than 2 minutes. The buyer was already spelling out how he was gonna pick them up in the first PM. It all happened so fast it was like a lightning bolt of computerism and typing.
