Looks like a brand new model from S&W. The old pistol was a 6” barrel making it slightly better for suppressed shooting and more compact but those are like unicorns, as @BigWaylon is well aware.
I noticed that msrp is $504 and the few dealers that have it listed have it at $400-500, but only PSA shows it in stock.

At least with the longer barrel on this one you could get it cut down and still have a longer handguard.

Cut it to 4” and the majority of any rimfire can will be tucked inside.

I feel that S&W is about 2-3yr too late with this model, not even considering the recent brace legal issues.

Tippmann, known for paintball, launched a .22 line in 2019/2020 including a pistol and they’re all aluminum, costing roughly $550 last I checked. While the Smith is polymer, it simply works so well and the mags are really good.

Oh man, S&W is bringing back the pistol version of the 15-22? All of my yes!! I've been wanting one. That is exciting! I will definitely have to pick one up asap.

Too late. They were sold out minutes after this thread was started.

I suspect PSA got or is getting one of the first shipments. Many of the smaller dealer sites that all use the same copy of their distributor’s site but with their own logo, list the gun but OOS. I bet it shows up at other places in the next week or two.

Thank god they have a forearm stabilizing brace on there to assist with recoil
