New Member in Burke Co

Moved into our new house in NC this fall after more than a year and a half in a rental in Hickory.
The plan was to retire to NC, but work offered to let me telework and just be near an airport. Burke put me between Charlotte and Asheville as options for travel so it seemed like a solid choice. Additionally there's a nice lake to enjoy some time fishing.
After two years in the area next month, got to say I'm loving the area and the people.

Hope your build goes far smoother than ours. It was a painful process with limited resources and a ton of laborers who would say they'd be out, but wouldn't show for weeks. Ultimately we have a beautiful house, but it was tougher than it needed to be.
