Keepin' hope alive!

New 124gr ammo from Bishkek Stamping Plant in Kyrgyzstan. Available now at sister Florida companies Cheapest-Ammo and Best Value Ammo. Looks like the Romanian stuff that used to be imported years ago, with the lacquer and greenish sealant. I bought a few boxes to test out, but it's always good to see more countries bringing in ammo. And a bonus for us 74 addicts ... BSP lists lead-core 5.45x39 on its website 🤩 A girl can dream...

it might be a good value for now, but it's still more than my mind wants to pay for domestic brass reloadable 5.56...
curse you covid times.

Wrong thread? Not sure I follow. If you can reload Eurasian steel-cased, berdan-primed x39, more power to you.

There's some info on the Files about this stuff. The factory looks sketchy

Have you ever seen videos of any of the various Russian ammo plants? Everything is as old as Lenin's bed and sketchy as hell. Same for basically every eastern bloc factory.

I'll play Guinea pig and post some results here when I get a chance. Will run it through the ol' WASR in case there's a kablooey.

Shoulda seen the machinery marlin used before remington bought them out...

BVA reposted the ammo on its site with some updated info. No price drop which is kind of a bummer, but corrosive ammo isn't something to fear. Literally a bottle of water down the chamber/barrel/gas tube after shooting, followed by a few rounds of confirmed non-corrosive ammo to dry everything out is all you need to do. Add a spritz or two of CLP if you choose.
