Thank you sir. I wondered if the 69 referred to the year. It’s an interesting part of a really nice revolver.Those are German proof marks. S&W used to sale tons of revolvers when I was there in the late 80s. Eagle over N is the West German proof from 1946-1990. That one was proofed in 1969. Deer antler was the proof house in Ulm. Pistol more then likely but at a Rod and Gun club there and then imported on a Form 6. I'm still importing on Form 6s
