Hey y'all I recently traded one of my rifles for a Versa Max and the only experience I have had were with a Mossberg 590 pump. I have yet to shoot It but man does it feel weird like the bolt release and the mag tube. Seems like you have to push the shell into the mag tube in really hard.

Might be because it's brand new but are semi auto shotguns with plugs normally hard to push in all the way? Also with chokes I heard that to buy chokes for the versa max you need to buy proprietary ones is that true? Thanks for the help!

Before you shoot your new Versa-Max, give it a GOOD, THOROUGH CLEANING!!! You'll find many vids out there on how to do this. Then send about 200 rds of "heavy" loads (min 1-1/8 1250fps) to help break your new gun in. After this it should be good to shot just about any load.

I have heard so many good things about the Versamax. I am certain you will cherish it for a lifetime.
