Newly moved from AZ to NC - heck of a nice state here :) moved primarily for the weather and having 4 seasons again after some 25+ years in Phoenix, AZ. One thing that I do miss from AZ is the vast land to get out and off-road and target shoot but not enough to make me even think about moving back lol. Hi!

Welcome

Welcome! I was just in Phoenix this past weekend. It’s grown a lot since I left in ‘73

Oh yeah...it's changed a lot in the past 10-15 years alone :) and again, for the worse, during/after covid. A lot of drug use on the streets, a lot of homeless folks. A lot of money coming in from California buying properties and displacing people that can't afford to buy or rent anything any more. It's very unfortunate.

Yeah, that's sad to see.

My brother lives in Glendale near the airport and his area seems ok.

Oh yeah that area in Glendale that far west is still okay as it's sort of 'new' - farm fields replaced with subdivisions etc, but new....the actual interior of Phoenix has gone down drastically.

Hello from Raleigh neighbor, you're going to like it here on CFF.

Welcome to the forum. I spent a week in Arizona, in the mid 90s, near Phoenix installing a machine. The temps were around the 110s. Yea it was a dry heat but it was still hot as hell.
