This is the route I choose for simplicity.I am new to this as well but I used https://www.silencershop.com/ and they made it really easy, now I am in the waiting forever part. The have cashed my check and I am in the long waiting until approved part!

Being able to roll your own finger prints when you stop to look a gun stuff makes it pretty convenient.
