Does anyone have a good suggestion for a simple RPG? I don't have the time to invest into big grand campaigns anymore. Is there anything that plays more like a classic RPG like KOTOR or similar style games?

I don't know if you want to replay it, but KOTOR is on the Switch. And Super Mario RPG is being released on November 17th.

Edit: I don't know if I'd consider it a RPG, but the new Legend of Zelda games on the Switch are awesome.

Honestly I dig the heck out of Breath of the Wild. It’s as long a game as you want it to be but probably 10-ish hours to beat just the main story content, if that

I'm playing breath of the wild right now and it's been pretty good. I'm borrowing the switch so I don't really have other suggestions. Botw has been good enough that I might buy the next one to play even though I don't own the switch.

Yeah. I've just played KOTOR to death. I already have it downloaded on my Switch. Lol. If the second had the restored content mod as promised I would have downloaded it. Super Mario RPG is a good suggestion for the future.

I guess I should say GameCube or Wii suggestions are welcome as well. I have both if those consoles now and pretty much missed most of the interesting stuff that came out on them.

Super Paper Mario, Wii. Okami, Wii. Wind Waker, Gamecube.

windwaker is a little arduous at times. the sailing is a pain in the butt.
breath of the wild is fantastic. you're never more than a minute or two away from finding something on your way from one mission to the next. i'm so slow progressing through that... i just keep doing "stuff"
metroid dread is fun, but not an rpg.

I've been playing Zelda breath of the wild for months. I ony get about an hour a night some not at all. I'm at 90 hours and have little bit more to go. It's awsome. My favorite games are Mario games.

My favorite game on game cube is Simpsons hit and run and Luigi haunted mansion.

GameCube wise Simpson a hit and run really is solid fun. I don’t know if it counts as a traditional RPG.

Blowout is fun if you like metroidvanias. Taz Wanted is super solid as a 3d platformer, as is SpongeBob battle for bikini bottom. Chibi Robo is great if you’re able to tolerate just how super Japanese that game goes in the quirky department.

Honestly, the GameCube has a super dense library. Lots of winners.

chibi robo was awesome.
i just bought a drive replacement for my gamecube that runs off of SD cards...
also it has a gba player stuck to the bottom. also it already has a modchip in it, so i dunno how i feel about that. i should dig up my other cube.

I have done ODE replacements on my GameCube, Dreamcast, and Saturn and they have been worth every penny. And that’s not even counting the flash carts that will emulate disc drives for other systems.

Retro gaming on real hardware is finally catching up with emulation!

Came to say this

TOTK no, but BOTW yes

CrossCode punches way above it's price range. Good mix of action and rpg with a lot of puzzles. It's got that classic 8bit art style but with modern controls and gameplay elements.

Not sure if this fits what you’re looking for, but Huntdown has been awesome.

Dystopian future theme. Retro graphics and sound. Funny quotes.

Fire Emblem is good I've play it on gameboy sp and wii or gamecube my wii is modded it might be good on nintendo switch from what I've heard if you like tactician games
I forget about those games. I need to give them a try.
