(well, no one onboard, anyway)

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – The Air Force Research Laboratory led a successful three-hour sortie,
July 25, 2023, demonstrating the first-ever flight of artificial intelligence agents
(algorithms) controlling a XQ-58A Valkyrie uncrewed aircraft.

So instead of remotely-piloted, these things take off, fly for 3 hours, then land by themselves? Interesting.

I have a drone that can do that, but only for about 30 minutes.

Google autosteer tractor crashes and look at the images. Google self driving car crashes. Are you ready to trust the technology and get on it yet?

You don't have a trillion dollar budget, then do you?

Maybe if I sold a few of my higher-end guns......

I was just meaning that the technology has been around - and available for all - for many years. I'm actually surprised that this announcement didn't come a decade ago.

You can buy SuperCruise on the new Yukon/Tahoe for $4,800+/- and pay a monthly fee to let the suv drive you headfirst at warp speed into a bridge support, if you be a lazy slob who has to be texting instead of driving.
Teslas? They like to rear-end other non-Teslas and drive over pedestrians.
I guess if someone can dream up an idiotic feature, an idiot somewhere will make it reality, eventually.
Where the heck is my WarpDrive? Scotty, load up those Lithium Crystals🤬

We have been using that technology for years sort of in hospital transport helicopters. They will auto take off, hover then get you your destination and then land them selves. I learned this from a Hospital transport worker, he's actually the medic sitting in the back caring for the patient and is not a pilot. He can actually control the helicopter using a touch screen pad in the back of the heli in case the only and single pilot cannot for some reason.
