Remember when some of the how-to books gave advice that would be unsuited for publication in this time of PC and other such nonsense? I remember a paperback book containing 100 hunting secrets that gave advice on what firearms to use to kill hawks, owls, and golden eagles. Articles in magazines and chapters in books advised what rifles to use when hunting tigers in India or rhinos in Africa. Things have changed a lot since I became interested in the blood sports.

I've been thinking of printing some ebooks out ... using all my own equipment and toner and not at all using work gear... and packing some away for a rainy day. some for hunting/trapping, maybe some on other skills. Don't need a huge collection, just a couple on different topics.

Tell ya what guys, find the ebooks you want and then take the name and author to a used book store like Mckays Used books. Chances are you'll pay a lot less for the used book than the cost of printing. I've been selling a lot of my non-reference type books down there lately and finding some good other stuff. The other day I saw a copy of One Second After on the shelf for $2.50.

Last time I went to Ed McKays it was posted No Guns.not sure how you got past the sign.

I decided not to do any more business with them.

Abe books online is another neat place to buy old books.

The price of gas makes McKays cost prohibitive... jus' sayin'!

But I'ma big fan of hard copy old How To books an' such.

Firefox books were very informative if I recall.
Everyone should have hard copies of the first 5 books.
The rest only if you want them.

I use thriftbooks online
I have found a lot of old stuff there cheap

I've probably got about 20 yrs of these from the late 20's onward. They're fantastic references and the perfect throne books.
