Opinions on new gun or modifying current

I have a versamax duckblind edition. I don’t use it much and want a tactical versamax. Seeing how I can’t find any In stock. Is it feasible to change the barrel from a 28 to a 22 and add a mag tube extension ? Or would selling the duckblind edition be better ?

If barrels are available, why not? Mag extensions should be easily removed for hunting.

If its what you want to do, its certainly not a bad idea.

Long before "tactical" shotguns were being sold as turn key items, you made them the way you wanted or needed based off of "sporting" guns after all...
(How many "wingmasters" and 1100's have I seen rigged up as combat shotguns!)

Its your gun, do what you want with it.

I’m with @Desolo, as long as you can find the parts at reasonable prices. Things add up quick.

A hacksaw and a can of alumahyde are pretty cheap if the parts are cost prohibitive.
