Finally getting a sack on his neck surgically removed. He's had it for a few years. Been drained a few times. It even ruptured once. But then the sack healed and filled again. Got to about 1.5 golf ball diameter.
He's 14 but often still has the sprint energy off his puppy self. He's is great shape for an old boy.
I suspect that the biggest risk will be reaction to anesthesia.

Fingers crossed for your pup. Thankfully even senior dogs tend to do much better with anesthesia protocols these days, especially when propofol is used with intubation.

Now he can get all the attention from the female dogs on the block with his surgical scar. ;)
His home pack mate is a 50 pound female Australian shepherd black lab mix.😄😁😆 She looks like a miniature great pyrneese.
She's hanging tight. Sniffing him. She senses the stress. But we can't let her lick Welker near the bandage.
