Watched it just now. All they need to do is make them cost less.
Not a huge fan of acogs. The glass is great. They're pretty neat.
But fixed mag and tight eyebox and short eye relief are deal killers for me. Not too mention price! Can't see what they do that a variable can't do?
Probably durability and toughness, as they seem to be popular in the military?
I have no use for one. I did see a little mini acog I thought was really cool. But just not suited to type of shooting I do. To each their own I guess.
The different models have varying degrees of eye relief; the TA11 (3.5x) has the most forgiving that I’ve found, as well as the most light transmission (35mm objective).
I have shot it to 500 yards with, as Borat says, great success, even making 100% 400yd hits at Ramseur with it.
As for the price ...you get what you pay for. The tritium costs money, the glass is great, and they are quite literally bomb proof. They can take a hell of a beating and still keep going
Yep. That eye relief when I tried it on a range was toooo close. Fixed power didn’t sway me because I like simplicity but I will say being able to swing my magnifier away is really nice in the dense cover. In a house defense situation the 1x is perfect. Not so much with a 3x.
