I'm would imagine that they are a gun free zone but wondered if anyone here knows whether or not they run you through metal detectors? Wife and I are going to the Cirque du Soleil show. I'd prefer to not have to go unarmed. Thanks.

We went there for the Brian Setzer Orchestra show December 1, 2018.
We walked from the parking lot in the rear only to return after seeing the wanding at the door. It’s very frustrating to have to walk back and unload, then feeling defenseless for the rest of the night.

Yes, they wand at Ovens Auditorium and at the Bojangles Coliseum. The wanding, however, is only as effective as the person operating the wand. I'm not saying that to encourage you to try your luck but to warn you that there are almost infinite ways for someone to bypass their security screening, which doesn't help that feeling of defenselessness.
