Hi,
I have had a problem with my palmetto AR 9 and sent back to palmetto 3 times to be fixed. They sent me a box of ammo this time to try and gun worked without any problems (using their ammo). I have tried 7 other ammo manufactures and always seems fail on ejecting the spent casing out. Anyone have any of the same problems? My pistol has the 4" barrel but my friend has the 8" and still same problems.

What's the difference between their ammo and yours? Did they send you +P or something?

Read through this thread and see if it helps.

Pay attention to posts #21 and #24…and have yours handy to look at when you do. Had to bend my ejector just a bit and haven’t had any additional issues.

I will check that. They had replaced my bcg and replaced the ejector the 2nd or 3rd time. Got it back and first magazine it did it 4 times in 25 rounds. Same thing as all the pictures shown. My buddy and I are thinking it could possibly be the buffer spring and will try that with spares. I may try to bend the ejector like others suggested.
Thank you

They were the acc 124 they sell on their site. They have velocity of 1150 I believe. Everything else we tested it with was the same or more with still having problems.

Ive got a Palmetto AR9 with a 16 inch barrel, I built it(slapped the upper to the lower) a couple years ago. It eats everything I shove in it. Winchester white box, federal premium, my cast lead hand loads, winchester ranger, etc...

See if you can get a slow mo vid using your phone. That way you can see if its short stroking, etc. I had bad issues with my AR-V, but replacing the BCG corrected it.

I will try to get a video. I have taken videos before and as I’m shooting I will see the shells throw out to 4:00, throw out, throw out, dribble out, throw out, and then jam. 7DF07FE9-9808-43F9-B6D8-2924C95E347A.jpeg6085B04F-96FD-4674-B1FF-C019191ED104.jpegD4F6DE51-10D1-417F-801B-2ED41E9AC481.jpeg

I did the same thing with the deal they had and it’s been a constant problem. My friend (and ffl) that has the business contact had him come to shoot it (because he doesn’t know me). He emailed back saying all the problems and confirmed it does do it with every ammo but their acc brand. Neither of us got a reply back.

Do you think lighter spring would allow it to shoot other loads like 115s? Hate when pistols are limited to certain ammo.

I’m going to go to my friends place eventually and try a couple different springs out to see. I believe it’s probably to heavy of a spring right now and not getting full blow back.

My AR-V will cycle 115 gr up through 147 gr Federal subsonic loads, so there’s no reason an AR-9 should be limited in grain weights once the buffer and spring are right.
