Jury is still out on this one but at first take I've noticed two issues out of the box. The Glock mags do not slide into the magwell easy. You have to give it a good bump to get the mag in.

The magazine release lever is pretty sticky. I'm hoping I'll get a chance to clean it then run some rounds through it.

Not bad for a $500 ar9

Check the torque on those handguard screws. My PSA upper wasn't torqued at all, they weren't even finger tight. It's running 100% though and more accurate than it should be considering the crap ammo I feed it so I've got zero complaints about needing to do a little pre-flight lock-tighting.

100% right on this. Mine were the same. Thanks for the heads up.

I need to check these out.
The fact this one came with a brace I found it to be a pretty good deal. I'm on the fence about the sbr route. When I travel I bring a bigger pcc. Typically, I bring a scorpion but I'm thinking I'll replace it with this if it runs well.

Bought one yesterday in the Dark Earth, 4 inch barrel, with a "blade" attached. The Glock magazine pushed me over the fence.

Hmmmm. Low price and something fun that can be shot in the pistol section at a gun range. Question is do I take a chance on another PSA gun that that doesn’t shoot right from the box like the last two AR15s I bought. Oh well maybe I’ll buy it to have something to work on with the files and sandpaper.

Well with the flash can off it appears I can't tuck a suppressor under it because the only two I have out of jail would be 45s.

Looks like 1.37" is the diameter of the obsidian. I'm wondering if AR15 rails will fit this thing.

I'd bet that you can change out the hand guard for one with a larger inside diamter. That looks like a regular upper which is what I'm using. for both of my 9mm AR's

My Octane 45 is 1.37 too. I'm using a YHM KR7 mid length on my 7" SBR and an AIM Sports carbine length quad on my 5.5" pistol. 13212.jpeg
